Simply put, this blog is about passion. My deepest passions happen to lie in fashion, interior design and travel, and this blog is my drawing board.

Final Coachella Edit

Final Coachella Edit

What was once merely a hip music festival has now turned into a fashion mecca. Yes ladies and gentlemen, I am talking about the madness that is Coachella. Having survived a weekend as manic as this music festival in the past, I thought it would be the same experience as a blogger...... boy was I wrong. This year was actually the first time I attended for work and as soon as I arrived in the desert the memories of New York Fashion Week flooded me and of course a sense of panic quickly followed. From underestimating the amount of time needed to get through my various engagements to not realizing the distance between places, what kind of blogging trip would it be without some rookie mistakes? Now that I have reached the light at the end of the tunnel all I can reminisce on what are the fond memories like the Zoeoasis party where all the guests were given the cutest parasols to shield us for the lethal weapon that was the scorching sun; and who would forget the Revolve parties at the Merv Griffin Estates with its delicious Coconut cocktails being served amongst lush gardens.... simply divine!

**KateTip: Plan your time strategically or you will drive yourself insane.

In order to properly conclude my festival fashion marathon I wanted to share these last two looks. The first look was shot the week before Coachella at the Forever Cemetery in Hollywood which was the perfect backdrop for this occasion. What I love the most about this look is the layering, where I mixed a floral cold shoulder detail dress cinched at the waist by J.O.A. with an oversized aztec print cardigan by DRA. Here I paired it with a these knee high laced up boots for a touch of glam but for the festival I would throw in a pair of western boots for maximum comfort.

I usually plan my Coachella outfits days or weeks in advance but the second look was actually a dress I picked up the day before departing at the VPR pop up in LA and I instantly fell in love with this piece. The lace panels give this maxi tons of sex appeal as well as much needed ventilation on a hot desert day. Paired with the ultimate boxer braids by my girl Arianna and leather belt and layers of necklaces makes for one badass Coachella look. One of the many things I love about Coachella is the fact that I get to play around with different looks that I normally wouldn't wear back home and this is outfit is the perfect example of that.

And this concludes my Coachella 2017 diary folks. I hope you enjoyed!
