Words to live by, since elegance is forever synonymous with the magic of Chanel. I was always taught by my mum to invest in a few classic pieces that will last a lifetime and Chanel was one such label that stands the test of time and in some cases even gets better as years go by. We all lust after those vintage Chanel jackets or beautiful satin evening bags, pieces to hold on to and treasure.

This particular jacket was passed on to me by my mother, yes I know lucky me!!! Its made from a lighter tweed and has the classic checkered design that's subtle but easily recognisable. I particularly love that this model has a slightly longer cut since a lot of the Chanel blazers tend to be on the shorter, boxier side and can be a bit tricker to style.

I injected a youthful vibe into this look by pairing the tweed jacket with some thigh high laced up jeans by Topshop, sleek black booties and a baker boy hat to tie it all in. I also added a belt to singe in the waist and add a bit of edge.
