Feminine Florals

Spring may be over, but florals are in full bloom during this summer season. Everywhere I turn, it’s red roses on mini dresses and pretty peonies on loose maxis; it’s everywhere. You can never go wrong with a floral-printed piece, and with the summer just getting started, there are so many occasions to break out some feminine florals.

Putting on a dress can already make you feel instantly more girly, but add some flower prints on that dress, and you become the definition of femininity. With silhouettes ranging from maxi, to midi, to mini, there are so many ways to wear flowers on your clothing. Throw on a light midi floral dress for a summer wedding or a fun mini for a garden party, and you’ve got the perfect summer look!

In this post I am wearing the Lottie dress from Reformation, an eco-friendly clothing brand based in Downtown Los Angeles. They began in 2009 and made it a mission to “lead and inspire a sustainable way to be fashionable.” The ankle length, white wrap dress features a ruffle edged bodice and sleeve, along with an all over monochromatic floral print. Now I’m so flower expert, but it’s safe to say these might be my favorite florals yet.

Since there were a lot of elements happening in this dress, I wanted to keep the rest of my outfit fairly minimal. I wore my coral Dear Frances mules to keep the color range similar, but added my baby blue Strathberry bag to compliment the light pink color of the dress. To finish off my look, I chose to go with my reflective sunglasses from Perverse, which had a pink hue to match the rest of my outfit.

A feminine dress is an absolute must in every girl’s closet. It can be the simplest piece in you own, but can also make the biggest statement when worn. So if your favorites are dainty daisies or even bold buttercups, there’s a floral dress for you out there, you just have to pick it!
