Hi From Hong Kong
Where I stayed:
The Ritz Carlton Hong Kong- everything about this hotel was spectacular; from the breathtaking panoramic views, to the luxurious room finishes and of course the service and attention to detail. The Club lounge which served the most delicious complimentary afternoon tea was a nice little extra.
Where I ate:
When not gorging on the RC afternoon tea; these are some of the places I enjoyed dining at the most:
- Elephant Grounds (breakfast or snack)
- Ho Lee Fook (great for late night dinner)
-Yardbird (trendy izakaya-style eatery)
-Tokyolima ( peruvian fusion)
-The Coffee Academic (amazing coffee)
-Sevva (views and drinks)
-The Iron Fairies (kitsch factor for dirnks)
Where I took pictures
Lastly no trip would be complete without some local location scouting.
- Yick Cheong Building (aka the monster building)
- Mong Kok Flower Market (several blocks of flower shops make for a varied backdrop, unfortunately the bird market right next to it was closed on this occasion due to a bird flu episode )
- Nathan Road (for neon signs)
- Choi Hing Estate (the rainbow coloured basketball is an Instagram dream, but be sure to get there early to take your shot)
- Shanghai Street (one of Hong Kong's oldest streets, its perfect for that authentic feel)
