Pritch London Story

It's true when they say that opportunity awaits just around the corner... The hustle and bustle was non-stop during the 3 week span of my stay in London this past January. From meetings to photo shoots, every minute of every day seemed to be filled with incredible new ventures. One of those endeavors was being offered the opportunity to shoot some images for London Gate magazine (feature coming soon, so keep an eye out for it!) and in preparation for that project I was introduced to an incredible brand, PRITCH London. Affectionately named after it's founder, Arina Pritch, Pritch London takes a new approach to the use of the iconic leather material. The juxtaposition between elegance and edge is evident throughout the different pieces, like the classic leather jacket for example is given a twist with the long draping fringe detail. And did you see the thigh-high leg warmers? I don't remember having such badass hosiery when I was growing up (mine mostly had random prints and I made sure any evidence of these was burned).

Every season there seems to be a myriad of fashion trends that hit the streets and are soon after forgotten, but incorporating leather into your wardrobe withstands the test of time. A leather skirt like the A line skirt below that has a suede asymmetrical detail is a good example of a versatile piece that can be used for a long time to come for various day to night occasions. Another cool detail is the fringe on the leggings as it elevates this basic piece and also adds some versatility when styling. Obviously layering up during winter is an absolutely must and an oversized parka like the Pritch creation below in sumptuous suede navy, is big enough that you can comfortably fit a couple of layers and even has roomy pockets to fit your essentials, (or shield your hands from enduring frostbite) is the perfect choice. A #katetip on layering is to go from thinest piece of clothing to the thickest. This makes it easier to regulate your temperature and gives your outfit a regular sense of depth. I am so grateful to have shot for the magazine and I hope you enjoy the images.
