Rooftop Reflections
As an interior designer I am always scouting new materials and am often found surrounded by piles of fabric samples or lugging around wallpaper books, which makes for a good bicep exercise but hardly a glamorous scenario.
So when an opportunity comes to go for a lunch with a client followed by a spot of furniture hunting at one of my favourite interior stores I like to step up my fashion game.
The 40,000 sq foot Restoration Hardware store in West Hollywood is a space like no other. The concept of the store is designed as if you were to enter a giant luxury villa, and travel from room to room to discover sumptuous woods, opulent lighting and pristine linens. The sheer volume of the space is overpowering as it stands proudly on Melrose Avenue, but the piece de resistance is of course the incredible roof terrace. The tranquil space complete with olive trees, fire pits and comfortable patio furniture was the perfect location to capture my outfit that day.
For this look I wore an off the shoulder detail blouse by Cooper & Ella with a C/MEO Collective a line floral skirt that falls below the knee. Both pieces have that air of elegance and sophistication but the cutout shoulder detail and the high front split on the skirt make for a more dramatic and sexy ensemble that easily takes it from day to night. I paired these with a neutral wedge sandal by Topshop and mini studded Valentino bag in burgundy to pick up on those tones in the skirt and my fave pair of round shades by Cutler and Gross.
Of course if all that furniture eye candy and terrace lounging got you thirsty I suggest heading across the road to arguably the best if not the liveliest Urth café in town for a refreshing macha latte.
Have a lovely Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
