Taste of Summer

One of the best parts of being a fashion blogger is that I get to discover some great designers and get inspiration from there. I've recently gotten some really cute Cooper and Ella pieces and I am just obsessing over them.

Cooper and Ella (named after the designer’s children no less) was born in 2013 from the frustrations of not being about to find the perfect “date blouse”. Together with her business partner, Kara launched a capsule collection of women’s blouses to solve this obviously bothersome issue. Each piece is versatile, flattering and affordable. They wanted to make sure that ladies felt great about themselves, no matter what they were doing in their everyday life and that's exactly what they have accomplished!

Whats more and why I respect the brand so much is that in 2014, they set up the Empower campaign partnered with the HOPE School. The aim of Empower is to help children from under privileged places in India to ensure that they can achieve their dreams throughout their childhood and towards their future careers. Every item purchased from the range will provide one hot meal to a child who is desperately in need. Meaning that whilst you get to appreciate some absolutely gorgeous clothes, you can also help a child thousands of miles away who needs a helping hand!

Just check out these pictures of how I worked the gorgeous Ruffle Dress in Cherry Print and you will see why no one would say "no" to Cooper and Ella. I decided to team it with a distressed, oversized denim jacket from Rachel Roy for Macys and just had to finish the look with metallic stars sneakers from Topshop.

We found a beautiful house and retro car in the picturesque Silverlake residential neighbourhood and when teamed with my ultra-retro sunglasses from a new brand called Perverse, we created some pretty awesome vintage inspired images.
