A City So Nice - they named it Twice

It’s that time of the year where airports begin to resemble the romantic likes of classics like Love Actually with tear-worthy reunions all around or the honest to God chaotic rush that was all the Home Alone films. I can attest to these observations since a couple of weeks ago I stopped over in New York on my to Los Angeles.

It’s always a grand trip when I touch down onto the Big Apple, no other city’s energy can match the buzz that is New York City, and it was another productive trip meeting with my favourite brands and PR’s and of course catching up with friends. Once you’re amongst all the hustle and bustle there’s a settling moment that you can just look around and sense that you’re a small piece to a huge mosaic that is humanity. Then you either run into a group of tourists that are taking a selfie with a statue of liberty street artist or someone on their way to work in Manhattan elbow swipes past you. It is truly magical.

My stay in NYC though concluded by spending a few nights at the wonderful The Time Hotel. I have actually stayed there a couple times before when it was newly opened and it has been well deserved for a repeat reservation. Centrally located by the vibrant Times Square, and in the heart of the Theater District, there is an abundance of entertainment within and outside these hotel doors. Satisfy your foodie needs at the Serafina restaurant conveniently located downstairs on the first floor. Known for their family-oriented Northern Italian cuisine, I highly suggest ordering yourself a Risotto “Vueve Clicquot” and checking out the restaurant’s private glass pavilion. As the night winds down, retiring at one of their sleek and minimal chic rooms is a double win because one it is much larger than your average NY hotel and two Frette Italian sheets & rainfall showerheads (okay that was three).

Now, it is common knowledge if NYC was a woman personified she would be the empress of forward thinking fashion. As one does when in the city of dreams you got to dress to impress. White boots were definitely in stock during my trip, I’ll tell you that. You might have seen me wear little white boots on numerous occasions on the gram and it’s my best not so secret- secret. Every girl needs a pair of white boots in her wardrobe even if they’re not as practical when it comes to staying spotless. They weirdly innovate your outfit, rather than opting for the traditional black/brown counterparts, these boots manage to elevate every look to a glam status.

They can literally go with everything due its adaptable hue no matter the fabric or print. Even as simple as they are, white boots manage to enliven the most minimal of looks. On this trip I was looking for a white boot to pair with this neutral look and during a quick trip to Macy’s I scored these Sam Edelman knee high boots with a western twist that I absolutely love and have been wearing non stop since. I have created a little edit of the best white boots on offer for you below...
