Wraparound in Spring
Spring is in full swing and the flower backdrop photo ops are endless in Los Angeles. The transition between pinks to vivid purples is the perfect inspiration for Spring/Summer fashion. Every year around this time, there are a few dresses that creep their way into my closet in some capacity, the wrap dress being one of my favorite. This love affair dates back to my time working at Diane von Furstenberg where the iconic wrap dress was invented and the love hasn't stopped since. As soon as I laid my eyes on the Violette dress by Australian brand Realization Par, I knew it would take part in my Spring wardrobe collection. Maybe its the bell sleeves with covered button closures at the cuff or the Summer Loving printed fabric that makes this piece so lovely. The parallel between sexy and modest is evident through its deep V neckline and over the knee length making it a classy and flattering choice. Speaking of flattering, the adjustable string tie closure around the waists keeps it that way and I'm all for it.
The attention to detail on this dress' design is a reflection of the entire Realisation Par Collection, which's name translates from French to English as 'Made by'. The latest It-label to establish itself via Instagram amongst trendsetters was started in 2015 by model/blogger Alexandra Spencer and designer Teale Talbot. Contrary to most brands, Realisation Par doesn't trade in seasonal collections, but instead focuses on individual pieces. This attention to detail is what makes it stand out and explains why they now have a cult-like following. Their Violette dress pictured below can be easily styled with the Furla Metropolis crossbody bag, some Gucci shades, and Via Spiga Gardenia sandals to keep the Spring theme alive.
Happy Humpday my loves!
