Simply put, this blog is about passion. My deepest passions happen to lie in fashion, interior design and travel, and this blog is my drawing board.

Poncho Power

Poncho Power

The sun was close to setting and we were rushed to capture the best lighting possible at the Joshua Tree National Park. As no one in our team had ever been to this desert destination, we embarked on quite the adventure to find the perfect photo shoot location. With our convenient map on hand and a plethora of visual ideas, we found the most picturesque background to capture today's look.

A poncho is the perfect staple to maintain your glamorous look when temperatures drop. Although this piece is not well known for a feminine silhouette, an hourglass figure can still be achieved by adding a thin belt over it. Another cool way to wear it is by simply wrapping it as it gives off an effortless, cozy vibe. For this look I wore the Full Moon poncho/cape by SpiritHoods and I draped it over a blue zebra print H&M turtleneck from the Kenzo collaboration. I then decided some blue, Annie Bing  jeans, black felt hat and thigh-high suede boots  (both by Nastygal) would be the perfect combo for this sexy ensemble. With this cool weather a poncho is an awesome way to essentially go out in a warm blanket while still looking chic.

Feel free to comment below with your poncho styling tips and have a happy new year lovelies!
