Stripe Hype
This fashion week I opted to rent an apartment as I was travelling with my photographer Daria and we wanted a spacious place. I booked through Italianway which has a wonderful selection of properties on offer and we settled on a top floor duplex in a charming 19th century building in the eastern part of the center of Milan. I was later to find out that Donatella Versace and Rosella Jardini, the creative director of Moschino were among the notable people who lived on the same street, which made our choice that much more appropriate.
On this beautiful sunny morning in Milan we decided to use the apartment and surrounding streets as the backdrop to shoot my first look of the day.
I always had a thing for stripes and what better way to carry over the summer spirit into your winter wardrobe than with a bold color stripe. I instantly fell in love with this thick satin double breasted sleeveless trench dress by TOME in a cream, blue and red horizontal stripe. It is also ideal for layering whether with a thin polo shirt like this one by ASOS or a navy cashmere turtleneck when the temperature drops. I paired this ensemble with my Gucci slides in the same tones and my new favourite box clutch by Cecilia Ma. I die over her amazing work, as all her clutches are hand painted in Hong Kong and come complete with fun slogans.
The Krizia fashion show was the first event I headed to after my shoot. On the runway, ruffles made a huge comeback which I couldnβt be more happy about and canβt wait to incorporate them into my style next season.
Thanks for following me through this hectic month. Feel free to show some love on the comment section!
